It was our first opportunity to wear our new tops and scarves in public and there could have been no better place for it than our Singout at Grove House, Kelso. The audience may have been small but they gave their full approval of both our performance and outfits. Due to problems with traffic, our MD Nick couldn't make it down in time for the evening, so Margaret stepped in at the very last gasp, smoothly linking our songs with her usual flair, as she led us through our programme of songs.
The staff at Grove House rewarded our efforts with a cuppa and traybake, which was a lovely way to end our Kelso singout. Thanks to the staff for making us so welcome and to the lovely residents, some of whom, unable to make it into the sittingroom, were clapping along as our voices carried on down the corridor. We hope you enjoyed our visit and perhaps we will get the chance to perform again for you in the future.
